Information about the Places

Anadolu Kavağı: Perched above the village are the ruins of Anadolu Kavagı a medieval castle with seven massive towers in its walls. First built by the Byzantines, it was restored and reinforced by the Genoese in 1350,and later by the Ottomans. Exposing a panoramic view of istanbul, Bosphorus and Black sea from the best point of view.

Princes’ Islands : Princes' Islands are a chain of nine islands off the coast of Istanbul, Turkey, in the Sea of armara.During the Byzantine period, prince and other royalty were exiled on the islands, and later members of the Ottoman sultans family were exiled there too, lending the islands their present name. During the summer months the Princes' Islands are popular destinations for day trips from Istanbul. As there is no traffic on the Islands, the only transport being horse and cart, they are incredibly peaceful compared with the city of Istanbul.

Ortaköy : Ortaköy,(literally "the village in the middle") the European Bosphorus shore, formerly a small village, is now among Istanbul's coolest, chic-est, most artsy neighborhoods, with trendy boutiques, atmospheric cafes and bistrots, and crowds of young, sophisticated residents and visitors. It's a good place to stop for tea or coffee, a snack or a meal, a stroll, some boutique window-shopping or a rest, particularly if you are in Bosphorus cruise.

Poyrazköy : Poyrazkoy is one of the villages nearest to the Black Sea and is located on the Anatolian side of the Istanbul. From the minaret a bridge leads out to the gun emplacements and ammunition stores and a great view. Although the village is located on top of a hill, there is a road leading to the beach just before the village. Poyrazkoy is an excellent place for a break or for shelter while sailing from Istanbul to the Black Sea.

Bosphorus Bridge : The Bosphorus is the 32 km (20-mi)-long strait which joins the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea in Istanbul, and separates the continents of Europe and Asia.

Beylerbeyi Palace : An Imperial Ottoman summer residence built in the 1860s, it is now situated immediately north of the 1973 Bosphorus Bridge .Beylerleyi Palace was commissioned by Sultan Abdülaziz (1830–1876) and built between 1861 and 1865 as a summer residence and a place to entertain visiting heads of state. Empress Eugénie of France visited Beylerbeyi on her  way to the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869.

Rumeli Fortress : Rumelihisarı is situated at the narrowest point with 660 meters of the Bosporus strait, just opposite of the Anadoluhisarı on the Anatolian side. The place was chosen to prevent aid from the Black Sea reaching Constantinople during the Turkish siege of the city in1453.

Dolmabahçe Palace : The Dolmabahçe Palace was built between the years 1843 and 1856, ordered by the Empire's 31st Sultan, Abdülmecid I. It was used as a residence by  last six sultans of the Ottoman Empire. It is the largest palace in Turkey. The design contains eclectic elements from the Baroque, Rococo and Neoclassical styles, blended with traditional Ottoman architecture to create a new synthesis.
